Read in February

January was an amazing month full of reading for me, February not so much but I did still get in a few new reads.(and made it half way through another!) I don’t know why I didn’t manage to get a few more books read this months, but whenever I tried to read I just found that I was too exhausted to read or couldn’t focus on anything long enough to even try.  The first of the books I finished off in February was From Blood by Edward Wright. I loved this book. I thought I pretty much knew what was going on for the whole book then suddenly everything I thought I knew was wrong. The plot twisted and turned and had me flicking page after page – desperate to know how it ended. If you like crime books I’d…

New In February: Books

I read so much last month it actually surprised me a little – the books I had I thought would last me a lot longer than they did – so between finding a few new books in my mums house and going to the library for some new reads I’ve acquired a fair few new books that I thought might be nice to share with you. I’m going to try buy less books – better for the environment and my bank balance – so I’ll either shop pre used or get books from the library. I’m quite lucky that Glasgow has a great library system, it even allows you to reserve books online so you’ll always be able to get the book your after

Oliver Bonas mini haul

Is Oliver Bonas possibly the best place in the world?!? It actually might be. I’ve never been into one before but always drool over their site – I only realised they actually have a store in Glasgow recently! One in Central and one in the West End. I decided after work to go into the Central store one day and had a wee look – and of course left with a few cute home wear bits. The Central store is only a small one – and their site is filled with hundreds of lovely home wear bits but even still I somehow found myself holding loads of items and having to debate with myself about which ones to buy and which to put back. So here we have it – the final three.

February Goals

February is here and I’m feeling pretty good about this month. January had me reading six new books, and although I was so poorly for the majority of the month I feel like I managed to get a lot done. I managed to  blog 3 times a week for the whole month, saved some money and went to the gym a few times although I’d have liked to have gone a lot more! I’m looking forward to February and continuing to read – also looking forward to my first valentines with David, even if we just stay in and watch a movie I’d be so overly happy doing that – especially after the fiasco that was last valentines. So for February I’ve decided to set myself a few goals – I liked having a few goals for January, nothing too…

Read In January

January is always a fairly slow month, pay day seems like a lifetime away and in Glasgow it snowed for near enough half the month – also I was sick for the whole month so not the best time. But every cloud has a sliver lining an all that! With my spending most of the month in bed sick, I got to reading a lot more. I’ve actually now read more books in the last month than I did the whole of 2017… Two books that I read were ones that had been started in 2017, and four others had been read front to back this month. I am a book reading machine and I’m loving that I’m back reading again.
